With impeckable teamwork, the Buchanan Bird Brains had another productive week of tremendous progress that we can’t wait to share with you!
Open House!
With On Season running full speed ahead, our team has been working diligently, excited to share our progress with the amazing stakeholders at Open House on February 24th from 2-5 pm! There will be amazing chilis, a fun silent auction, and of course, our 2024 robot! With this being our 20th Anniversary, the Bird Brains hope to celebrate this special day with you! Please RSVP by clicking on this link or scanning the QR code in the image attached.
F-IR
This week, the IR subgroups have continued submitting impact questions and began working on baskets for the Open House silent auction. The Outreach subgroup also began planning for elementary visits to inspire our youth to pursue STEM. Our first “A Bird’s Eye’s View” has been recorded, ready to be sent onto social media to share more of what we do. In addition, outreach successfully hosted the last day of the G.E.M.S. workshop, concluding this event with certificates of completion and some very happy children, ready to take on the engineering world!
ST
In ST, the subgroups have been extremely hectic: CAD continued building the robot 3D model, Fabrication began manufacturing parts and continued prototyping the robot, and Programming continued working on limelights. Phew! It has been quite a busy week, but the Bird Brains are preparing to push through and make next week just as productive and fun!
